Once upon a time in midwinter, when the snowflakes were falling like feathers from heaven, the queen sat sewing at her window, which had a frame of black ebony wood. As she sewed she looked up at the snow and pricked her finger with her needle. Three drops of blood fell into the snow. The red on the white looked so beautiful that she thought to herself, "If only I had a child as white as snow, as red as blood, and as black as the wood in this frame."
The fairy Godmother heard her wishes and grant it because, in order for a fairy Godmother to grant wishes, she would need fresh blood as an offering to the Satan. Soon afterward, she had a little daughter who was as white as snow, as red as blood, and as black as ebony wood, and therefore they called her Snow White. And as soon as the child was born, the queen died, she died of giving birth. How devastating....
366 days had passed since the funeral of the queen (since it was a leap year).
The King had remarried. She was a beautiful woman, more to like, a damsel in distress, but she was proud of her non-lasting beauty (she was a human after all, filled with lust.) and she could not stand it if anyone might surpass her in terms of beauty. She had a magic mirror, the mirror could tell anything you ever wanted to know. (more to like, the second Wikipedia in that era. She could've use it for knowledge or to improvise the kingdom or whatever instead of worrying about crap)
Every morning, she stood before it, looked to herself and said,
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Tell me,
Who's the fairest of them all?
Allegedly, the mirror answered,
You, my Queen, are the fairest, of them all.
She was satisfied because she knew that the mirror won't tell lies.
Years passed by, and Snow White grew up to become a sweet, lovely, beautiful girl. Her hair was a rich shade of ebony. It flows in waves to adorn her glowing, porcelain-like skin. Her eyes, framed by long lashes, were a bright, emerald-green and seemed to brighten up the whole world. A straight nose, full lips - a picture of perfection. Had she smiled, the world would sigh in contentment. Had she laughed, the world would laugh with her. And had she wept, the whole world would want to comfort her.
The morning rays shone. Again, the Queen with her daily routine, stood before the mirror, and said,
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Tell me,
Who's the fairest of them all?
The mirror answered,
You, my Queen, are the fairest, of them all. (....)
But snow white is, I'm afraid, a 1000 times fairer than you.
The queen took fright and turned yellow and green with envy. From that hour on whenever she looked at Snow White her heart turned over inside her body, so great was her hatred for the girl. The envy and pride grew ever greater, like a weed in her heart, until she had no peace day and night.
Then, she summoned a huntsman.
Your duty is to kidnap Snow White for me. Bring that girl here. And i'm giving you 24 hours to settle this thing up, at all course.
(oh bummer, jealousy can really blindfold a heart!)
And thus, the huntsmen obeyed. He embarked on a journey in search for Snow White.
23 hours had passed by, a knock on the door was heard at the main entrance of the castle.
Your majesty, I brought Snow White at your command.
The Queen smirked. She knew that she would regain her title as the most beautiful woman in this world again. Snow White wouldn't stand a chance to be the nominee, even.
Oh Snow White, you're gonna live here with me. Aren't you ecstatic to be living here with me, in this paradise?
Snow White was confused, she was unsure of the Queen's hospitality towards her. And why was it so sudden?
Snow White, I knew that you're an orphan... and now I'm offering a chance for you to be my adopted child. You deserve a better life rather than the cruelty of this world...
'That seemed legitimate.' Thus, Snow White accepted the Queen's offer. (After all, who wouldn't want to live in the castle?)
Thus the Queen locked Snow White up in the attic. She was forced to eat meals 15 times a day and she wasn't allowed to bind with nature again. Poor little Snow White.
Soon she became overweight... and obese. She was no longer a small, petite little girl, but an oversized Snow White.
Again, the Queen with her daily routine, stood before the mirror, and said,
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Tell me,
Who's the fairest of them all?
The mirror answered,
You, my Queen, are the fairest, of them all.
Unsatisfied with the mirror's answer,
Are you sure? Final answer, I'm afraid?
The mirror answered again,
Yes, my Queen. For you are the most beautiful woman ever existed.
